I'm new to this and have never hammock camped so I would like
to buy a clark nx250 hammock... I missed my shot on the last one that
was for sale... Also any one have any other suggestions that are similar
or better than the 250???
Thanks

Before I purchased my Clark TX-250, I went over to Dream-Hammock.com and ordered a custom "DangerBird 72" from Randy. It has a built-in Over-cover and Bug net. (No poles to stretch out the hammock like a Clark, but not really needed) (I've heard 'complaints' because the over-cover and bug net cannot be deployed at the same time... but if it's chilly enough for a weather shield, bugs should not be a big problem, right?). I REALLY like the DangerBird. Well built, solid craftsmanship, excellent weight-limit (My Danger Bird is 11 feet long and, of course, about 72'' wide... HUGE) and has pretty much all I need. Marketed as a 4 season Hammock... Less expensive than the NX-250. It does take a while for Randy (and his hammock elves) to custom make it, but it was WELL worth the wait. You can see a couple of videos of the DangerBird on YouTube. I do love my new Clark, but it won't entirely replace my DangerBird.
Bought my NX 250 last year from Clark when they were 25% off....and the only thing I regret is that I didn't buy 2 of them.
I don't know if it's the famous Clark poles or the way the hammock is built, but the Clark NX 250 opens up in the head end like no other gathered end hammock I've ever had. Go to the Clark sub forum and you'll read from other Clark owners what I'm talking about.
yeah i've been looking around and have found that the clark has the best features and i actually like the
notion of the camping stakes cause it would feel less constrictive.... also looking at the HH but still would probably
feel constricted as well....
Thanks for the pointers though...
After some research how about the DD jungle hammock modular system.. it looks like it has some of the
features of the clark and maybe some other more features that don't come stock with the clark...
any thoughts? and anyone have one for sale??? also they seem to be at a lower starting price as well... whoohooo...
Please remember, this is not the best subforum for discussion. Clark and DD both have their own subforums that would be a better choice for "comparison/what should I get" types of discussion. Thanks
You are correct...
Back to the subject at hand... looking for a good deal on a Clark nx250
or a DD modular jungle hammock??
Thanks

I have a NX-250 cammo with $100 in upgrades. Hammock has been used a dozen times and is in new condition. I would let it go for $475. email me if interested [email protected].
