Anybody rver hung at Ft McAllister State Park in Georgia ? Planning a long weekend there and wondering if hanging is allowed....

Yes I have, and yes it is, though I don't know that they have any official hammock policy. I've hung there multiple times, and the staff is very friendly. Definitely tour the fort if you've never been there. Good kayaking/canoeing too.

We stop there on Labor day weekend. Nice place and Savannah is not to far to drive for some good food and entertainment.

I just spent the night at the Ft. McAllister park as I was heading south on the motorcycle. I parked in the campground and had no issues hanging. Lots and lots of trees and park rangers will all very accommodating. In fact, there were already 2 other hammock hangers camped out there.
