Slept pretty good. I set up where I've been making gear tests. The ground was saturated from the rain the night before. I didn't want to be too close to the ground and have the net and possiblely the UQ getting wet so I had the whoopies tightened up. I could feel the difference in the lay but I was going for it. I had some issues with my shoulders feeling 'compressed' and a couple of times I got out to tightened the sliding bungies to get the UQ closer to my arse. So, I was testing everything. Had the bug net on too. In my nest, the temps at 2am were 49 deg but outside it was maybe around 40....I should have placed the thermometer out and away to see. They were calling for mid to upper thirties. Right now at eight a.m. it's 44. I wore fleece pants, heavy socks, sweatshirt and sweater and a hat. I felt nice and warm. A few times I would feel a cold spot under me but I had a piece of cc foam that I could put under me or if needed, in the footbox of the TQ. So other then pinched shoulders for a while I think last night was a success.

It would be better to put your tree straps higher on the tree rather than tighten the hammock suspension.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

Thanks Shug, and I mean it. The bug hit maybe five...six years ago. I stumbled across one of your vids by accident. My boat project and work issues kept me from doing anything other then dreamin' about hammock camping but the spark was there. Finally, last year I got started. It's taken a while to get my stuff together, but I did and hanging in my hammock overnight for the first time last night...well, it was magic. Thanks bro.
