    support for U/Q

Hi all just finished my whoopie slings and adding a ridge line i was wondering if anybody has used a short piece of am steel with a loop and a short bury for an adjuster for the u/q instead of prussik knots? I am thinking that way you just reach up and adjust.

Sometimes I use a short piece of shock cord or a short dogbone of lashit or zingit to the foot side of the UQ suspension above my feet and it works to hold the UQ in place which is helpful if you use a smallish UQ. I've used a prussic loop and hook/clip/sbiner as well as a prussic know on the ridgeline and sbiner to the UQ suspension. I prefer to use the tiny double mitten hooks Dutch sells, those are SWEET. I've also done the same thing on the head end on the head side. Not as elegant as quilt clips but workable as a temporary solution for me until I decide how and where I want to place permanent anchor points on the hammock to minimize my UQ suspension. I hate clutter!
