what does it weigh compaired to a silnylon tarp?
I have a sil nylon that is 10.5'x7.5' that weighs 16 oz, and the larger Argon tarp (11x9) weighs 15.

Looks great and thanks for the well-done video. I liked how you used the heavier 1.9oz material at all the tie-outs along with the plastic triangles.
I've got a pile of sil so I'm hoping to tackle something like this in the near future. Thanks for the good ideas!
Great job-----------looks great! Is it more fragile than a standard sil tarp?
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

Fragile is probably too harsh, but I would hesitate to say that it will be as durable as 1.1 oz in the long run. 15D is significantly thinner than 30D and even 20D ripstop nylon. Combined with a lower starting weight of 0.9 oz, you will most likely have reduced abrasion resistance and increased stretch over time. This fabric is trying to mitigate the stretch issue with a smaller grid (I think it's being called a double ripstop grid) which is a good move though.
Good Looking Tarp.
Sil Argon is much stretchier than 1.1 sil I have worked with. you should be able to mitigate this by using tensioner's - which do have a weight penalty, but you're still lighter than 1.1, and many people already use tensioners with 1.1.
