    Child's top quilt

Does anyone know if there is a vendor who does or who will make a topquilt for a child? I know they could use a big one, and I know I could make something, but it has been my experience that kids really really like miniature versions of adult stuff, to the point that it enhances the experience. My goal is to make these endeavors comfortable and fun. It seems kid stuff is often mediocre versions of adult stuff, so I'm happy to buy a kid nice stuff. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I would still get an adult small, short.
When the kid outgrows it, resale will be easy that way.

While all of the venders that do/offer custom work would most likely make one for you if you asked them, Adam at hammock gear would be my top choice because he is all I deal with anymore for all my insulation needs.

Thanks for the quick replies everyone. It always surprises me how people want to get kids to join them but often equip them with inferior junk, not purposely, just a lot of kid stuff is not as nice. Although kids are tough my guess is that I as an adult am better equipped to recognize an oncoming blister...bring appropriate jackets .. Etc,. Hopefully warm sleep is one potential problem I can eliminate from the get go.

These are adorable. I love the name letters. When the day comes, I'll have to do something like this for my first niece or nephew, who is due to be here in about 3 weeks

Don't forget with kids, many sleep in onesies with the feet, and I would think that would be a great way to insulate. You would still need to consider the conditions and match with quilts and bags, but what they wear to bed should be a consideration too. Also, kids aren't as heavy, therefore, I would think a synthetic bag may be good, as much of the under insulation wouldn't be too compressed. Besides, often you are the ones tucking or zipping them in, or helping them out if they have to pee or something, which means the simplicity of the quilt may not be as much of a factor. I only think this because depending on the age of a child, I don't know if I would want to invest much in something they may outgrow within a season or 2. YMMV and HYOH. These are just my thoughts and I welcome anyone with more knowledge and/or experience to shed a better light on the matter
