I just find it strange that you get your second tarp and report it as perfect, but it rips on you after one hang. The fraying of the material looks like some serious stress was put on that part of the tarp.
Yes. a tree to a house deck. The tree is about 5 inches thick.

Strange, I have 4 hammocks and 1 tarp from him and have never had an issue with any of it.

I am sure he will take care of it.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

I have to agree...especially if one attachment (house) was not gonna move and the other (5"tree) could sway much in the wind.
Did you have any wind gusts while this was hung or was the damage visible Before it was hung??

Anyway... I have several of Brandon's products. Love their gear.

    Brandon will work with you.
Hope the situation is soon resolved... I'd be frustrated too.

As this is a reoccurring issue you might request that Brandon add a reinforcement to each of your tie-outs with the nice dynema that he has in stock. We have 3 hammocks, 3 tarps (2 SFs) and an UQ and have had an excellent experience with Warbonnet. The miles and use we subject his equipment too are ridiculous. We did have one failure in the RR UQ, in that the rubber connectors freeze and snap below 0 F. this was an easy replacement with bungie cord.

Not defending Warbonnet blindly here, but in your other thread you said the new tarp arrived perfect and it was beautiful. And then you later said it was ripped right out of the package. I see the tear, and can't see how you could possibly miss that large tear during your inspection that rendered the tarp beautiful. It seems pretty obvious it was over tensioned, which doesn't necessarily mean you don't deserve some help from Warbonnet, but to state it was ripped out of the package when it wasn't is wrong.

ETA: I'm not directly accusing you of this. Just pointing out that based on the information you gave, this is how it looks, and if it is in fact the case, you need to state is as such. Anything else is immoral.

I'd be upset too. Not to defend anybody, but this is the second time you called out Brandon on the interwebs without dealing with the issue directly with Brandon. You tried to get in touch with him but haven't connected yet. First issue was fixed promptly, as soon as, you got in touch with him. Granted I would less than thrilled if the replacement came in jacked up, but I'd try to deal with him before calling him out.

This is unfortunate. I'm sure it will be resolved. Hope you get it sorted out soon.

Sure looks like user error to me. BTW, it's always best to give a vendor a chance to make it right before you go dissing them all over the forums. I have been buying from Brandon since before he was Warbonnet, and know he'll do everything he can to fix any issue a customer has, within reason.
