Well I'm definitely still leaning toward the JRB. After viewing the pics that have been posted it looks like plenty of coverage for 1/2 the price of the Warbonnet. I see in the poll others have mentioned they would get a different tarp but most have not stated which or why. I guess I'm just a little scared I might get something I dont like and am just waiting for someone to say "get the (fill in the blank) tarp, I have a bridge hammock that this tarp is a perfect match". I do feel a bit of loyalty to the Jacks after buying the BMBH and plan on getting a JRB UQ this fall. I guess might as well have a whole JRB set up! I've never heard any complaint about their 11x10 tarp so it must be good. I'm still keeping my mind open and will accept any advice until I have saved the pennies to make a purchase.

Go with the JRB 11x10. It is by all accounts a fine tarp. If, for any reason, you don't like it...it will sell in the 4sale section here right away.

go with the 10'x11' Speer Winter Tarp. It comes seam sealed so that is something you don't have to do

I can't vote because I have yet to hang under a JRB 11x10.
I'm really going to have to fix that soon.

Thats what I need, someone just to tell me to. All in a days work for a moderator. Helping timid people to take the plunge! Good point about selling it here if it doesnt work out. However, I have a feeling it will be just fine.

I kicked Speers out of the running for the same reason I decided against OES. Color, I only want a big white sail if I'm on a ship. Otherwise I want to blend in a bit more.

The website says the 11x10 is available in sharkskin gray, which is very close to the OES color. It says the 8x10 cat tarp is also available in olive brown.

Sorry, "sharkskin grey" to be exact. http://www.speerhammocks.com/Products/Tarps.htm Still not my idea of a subdued color. I just noticed OES says "many colors to chose from" maybe I will shoot him an email to see what he can do but my experience with the Jacks has been amazingly fast shipping, great customer service, and an excellent hammock.

    Which tarp?

I am a phoenix dweller and have the JRB hammock as well. Earlier this season I was researching which tarp to buy and I went with a MacCat Deluxe. The craftsmanship is incredible. It provides adequate, not ample coverage over the spreader bars. You might want to get the next size up. I would be happy to show u my set up. I live in central phoenix.
