Cheap or low cost good stuff? How much do you want to DIY? How well does she like your setup in a backyard overnight?
YMMV

Take what I can get at this point. Can diy some also but very new to me .
Search for tablecloth hammock, order some amsteel and make some whoopee slings. Harbor freight 1 inch straps for tree straps or use them and buckles or rap rings and forget the whoopee slings. Probably can do the hammock for less than $30. Several threads for DIY bug nets. Or you can spend more money and get into the low end imports - Check out:

Everybody needs a beater/loaner.
Take her to a group hang even if you don't spend the night. she will get to see setups and probably get offered a tryout in a lot of folks setups. Folks here tend to be nice in general and encouraging to newbies.
If you are car camping go for a decent sized Polyurethane coated tarp. Heavier, tougher and cheaper than Sil. She will like the privacy.

Rambo,
Are you still looking? I have an ENO double to unload. It's already rigged up with whoopies and a ridgeline. I'll throw in tree straps, toggles and a bugnet too. Let me know if you're interested. $50/negotiable. I have a PM out to another user about a tarp for sale, but if that falls through we can discuss including it with the hammock.
