Looks like a good ... cold and wet ... but most excellent adventure! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the info! Hate to sound like a baby, but that always plays a big part in where/when I go. I love getting out in the woods, but if I have to spend so much effort not to get eaten alive, I'd rather not go and do something else like cycling or kayaking. Besides, all those chemicals do nothing for me; I simply drew the short straw there My wife is lucky, mosquitoes have NO interest in her for some reason.

At MAHHA this past weekend we had gusty winds and two rigs were blown to the ground with one of those rigs a portable hammock stand. Lots of pole mods on Superfly's held with no problem.

Syb, Was anyone sporting internal poles?
They provide much more structure for wind vs external which relies on the tarp pullouts.

Yes, a few and they held fine. . Mine had the external pole mod with a slight modification - I only use one pole larks headed to a line of zing-it that is attached to the pull outs. I may start a thread with really bad video that I took at MAHHA showing what I mean.

Good stuff there, mountainhanger! Cold, wet and windy, and you still had a good time. As a bonus plus, you learnt a few things too. I never would have thought to look between the sheets, so to speak, for the temperature gauge. It's amazing where things end up. Thanks for the video!
