Loved the event again this year. Nice to meet our southern neighbours who make the trip worthwhile every year. See you again.

Thanks to all the folks who made this happen. Interesting discussions, interesting gear, interesting people. Great food. Great place to hang.

Sounds like a great time was had by all. We're really bummed that we had to miss this one.
what a turnout! and a good time was had by all...
You were missed. I still need to get my trip report of the hike in finished, but I must say that MAHHA really charges up my batteries. I'm back to looking forward to my scout outings. One thing that I have noticed is that before I started hanging on my camping trips I would come home and sleep for a few hours, now I come home and finish chores.....maybe it's not such a good thing

Great video otter.
Looks like yall all had a blast. Wish I could have been there. Maybe next time.
Here is my short video of the hike in and a slide show of the trail and MAHHA. All photos after the one of me entering PGFSP are at MAHHA and walking between the site and pavilion.
What a great time, I couldn't have asked for nicer weather or timing. Demeter and I arrived at the group camp area around noon and set up, talked and snacked. Then I hiked up to get my car (left across the road in Michaux State Forest at a friends cabin). A few hours later the hiker shuttle left to pick some cars and drop others off. On the way back I grabbed a beer and a burger in Mount Holly Springs, as I was contemplating a second beer I looked at the radar scan and saw that the rain was on its way and I had not tested my seam sealing on my newly made tarp, so I headed back to camp right as the first drops were falling. I put on my 2QZQ UQP and jumped in the hammock to check the tarp seam for leaks...no leaks....getting a little chilly, I'll just get under the quilt...listen to patter of rain on the tarp and kids playing with bubbles in the rain, and when I woke up the rain was getting lighter. A quick check of the radar scan showed about 10 minutes until it cleared out, so I held the beer in until it quit raining. More walking around and meeting old and new friends, next round of showers made me go to bed on time. Saturday I was well fed and got to connect with more old and new friends and even won a few prizes in the raffle. I need to see if I can fit the fall MAHHA into my schedule.
