Bought a new Hammock for my bed for indoors.

    http://www.amazon.com/Vivere-UHSDO9-...ywords=hammock

I just got this hammock today and I'm ready to try and sleep in it tonight as my bed. Hopefully it works good!!!!

The reason why I'm using a hammock as a bed is because of what crawled on me the other night. A centipede!

The hammock has a weird new smell to it but hopefully it works good! Knock on wood!

Something like that would convert my wife to hammock sleep for ever! Not to mention burning our house down.

This thread makes me thing about the bed bug problems people are starting to run into now that DDT is banned.

    1. You can wash your hammock and bedding unlike a mattress
    2. You could put a barrier (chemical? physical?) on the hammock suspension lines to keep the bugs from getting back into the hammock.
    3. Hammocks are just plain better than a mattress

That's a really good deal!! Wish I had this when I got my stand... my hammock is too big for my current stand ahhaha

Now that has become a travel stand for me, that bag is nice to have. My current hammock is on my walls.

I sleep in my hammock from time to time in the house. Just put some eye bolts in the spare room hung the hammock and i sleep better in it than my bed.

I've had that same setup for about a year now, I find it is good for casual use in our backyard that doesn't have suitable trees but it isn't long enough to lay diagonally in for sleeping and won't fit either of my ENO hammocks as a result. It is touted as portable and comes with a carrying case but I've never had the inclination to take it anywhere as it is quite heavy & bulky.

Hopefully the BooneDox Drifter will be the portable hammock stand of my dreams but at $240 with no reviews out there I will hold off.

And that's why I live in Colorado. We're certainly not bug-free, but we don't see much of that kind of stuff.

I think I would find a way to deal with the Centepedes if I could live on Maui. I am heading back in October and cannot wait.
