    Hello from Montana

    Howdy!

I stumbled upon this forum recently in my quest for finding some reviews on some new hammock gear and figured I'd join in (and add ANOTHER forum to my tapatalk account lol). New to this forum (not forums in general nor new to hammocks) and am always glad to learn new ways of doing things and sharing my knowledge when I see people asking about stuff that I have experience with As my forum Handle suggests I live in Montana, and thus also love the outdoors. I'd be hard pressed to name an outdoor activity that I haven't tried or play with (except noodling/hill-billy handfishing ...those people are crazy...and I'd like to keep all my fingers out of Snapping turtles.... I'll pass lol) but if it's outside and looks fun, I'll jump right in and give it a try! Anyway, it looks like a good group of people here and I'm happy to try to contribute where I can. Thanks for reading!

@snrmoment: That's pretty funny! Yeah as with most niche forums and outdoor enthusiasts in general, we all have to be a little crazy. But I thin its the good kind of crazy, where we just REALLY like having stuff our way and making it our own.

    Thanks Doc17th !

Welcome to the forums! You've stumbled across a real gem here. I'm also a member of several other forums and this one is moderated better than any I've ever seen. Very little bickering - and the nasty threads prevalent in other places are closed down quickly here. Very organized and helpful. Also, the people on the forums are amazing. It's an amazingly helpful, supportive and fun community.

    @ Breyman:

I noticed that! The mods seemed really on their game here, especially in the FS/FT/WTB area, which is refreshing. I know that its a lot of work and I always appreciate when a mod is active.

Welcome from New Jersey. I lived in Whitefish back in the 70's. You will be very comfortable here.

Whitefish is a good neck of the woods my wife and I love going up to glacier and the flathead valley.
