Granite Gear and Gossamer Gear Ultralight packs

Hi, I'm offering up two great lightweight packs. First up is a Granite Gear Virga. This pack was only used on a handful of trips but has been sitting in the garage for a couple of years. Asking dropped to $65 shipped.

Next up is what I believe is a Gossamer Gear Murmur. I bought this several years ago when they were still blue. This pack is in great condition, used twice. Asking dropped to $65 shipped.

Hi, it's been years since I purchased them and can't seem to find tags on either, but I believe them both to be Large. I'm 6'2 and they fit very well. Hope this helps, thanks.

    Nice packs!
FWIW-The blue one looks like a Murmur more than Mariposa to me. Either way it's a SUL pack for a great price.

FWIW the torso size for the Granite Gear Pack is a tag on the back panel and can be seen in the pic you posted next too the right shoulder strap (left side of the pic, I just can't read it)

Thanks for the input folks, just checked the Virga and it's a regular. A little more research pretty much confirms the GG is a Murmur as well.

    Cheers!

Happy to confirm the blue one is an original spinnaker fabric Murmur. I have the identical pack. Mine has been used much more. ; )

Thanks for confirming that bud. Makes sense that it's Spinn, I was just driving down the road with it in the passenger seat with the windows down and it almost sailed out lol

**** I want these, but I already got two packs and don't really need any more.... But....

Would the blue one (GC Murmur) be to big for a 12 year old boy? He's tall for his age, but not nearly as tall as 6' 2", probably about 5' 5" or so. Also do you know the weights of either? Dose the GG Virga, have any frame, or just a place to insert a pad? I am new to UL packs so I am still figuring out how they all work.

Hi Wolf, out of the two packs I think the Murmur would be ideal. Weight is around 8 oz and I think the size would be better for your boy. From the top of the shoulder straps to the bottom of the pack measures 20 inches. You may want to measure him and see if it will work. I think it'll be a good fit. They are both frameless and run pads either in back, or rolled up inside for support. The Virga weighs more than twice as much but will be more comfy with heavier loads. Hope this helps.

    Cheers!
