well I looked at my schedule and that is my 7 day work week. So I will not be able to attend.

Ok, went to explore the area around Beckley, W. VA. We stayed at Bluestone State Park near Hinton, W.VA. The park has a great group camping area, with bathrooms, picnic tables and water. The group camping area is in a circle and separated from the rest of the campers. Plenty of trees to hang from for all of us. The park ranger had no problem with the use of hammocks with tree straps.

A path from the group site leads to the brand new pool. There is a $3 fee to use the pool. This gives you access to the pool and the pool house showers. I, for one, am bringing my swimsuit.

The same path leads to the group shelter, should we need it.

The fee per site is $14. We can get several hammocks on each site. Bluestone State Park does not allow you to reserve the group section. I will go to the Park on Thursday and claim our sites. The ranger assured me this would definitely work, as this site is only used if the regular camp and trailer area is filled up.
The RV campground is on the opposite side of the pool from the Group camping site. The RV sites has 20 and 30 amp service and water on each site. A shower house is provided for the RV campers. Tent campers can not use this shower house.
The directions to Bluestone State Park are in the first photo. Follow those directions, do not trust your GPS. My GPS sent me on a one lane road with hellish curves, decents and accents and I was pulling a travel trailer.
I will not be posting next week as I will be incommunicado due to a planned backpacking trip. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
Dang that looks awesome! Y'all have fun! Hope I can go next time.

Nice legwork you have done! I have passed Bluestone SP but have never camped or hiked there. Sounds like a nice time will be had by all. I will bring some extra hammock stuff for anyone that is not a hanger and might want to see different stuff and try things out. So, if you are a new hanger or someone that wants to explore hammock hanging, come and join us.
Ok women, let's talk food
I'm bringing a grill and will have hot dogs and hamburgers going on Friday. Some baked beans and potato salad will be on the table, also. IF anyone is a vegetarian, let me know, I can bring veggie burgers too. What do you'all think about a pot luck for Saturday night?
I have a screen tent for the bugs that we can set up over a picnic table.
Card games or Domino players?
If you don't have a hammock let us know, so we can outfit you for the weekend. (Thanks Country Roads)
There is a boat ramp at the wilderness campground, down the camp road a bit, if you have small watercraft. I understand the fishing is good.
Sorry, but I have to back out ladies. Too many family outings during the month to squeeze this one in. Have fun, and hope to meet you ladies around another time!
OK, at my count, this who is coming to the hang. Let me know if your plans have changed, thanks.

Sorry to miss it. My son is graduating with an MBA this weekend! Happy about that!
