Just wanted to throw out there, just in case anyone else was gonna be there this weekend - my nephew and I are doing the Skyway / Chinabee / Pinhoti loop starting at Adams Gap and going clockwise hitting the Skyway trail first.

I can't make it this weekend, but we have a group hang up there the weekend of May 23rd. Let me know how the trail is, primarily the Skyway, my son and I are gonna try to do this section from Cheaha falls back to Adams Gap.

I'll do my best to let ya know. I've done it before, but it was a long time ago. When I did it before, there was nothing to it. It was a lot of up and down, but still fairly tame.
I have been planning on going to the hang the weekend of the 23rd, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna make it at this point - some family stuff came up. Gotta wait and see.
The skyway was very green! Easy to follow. There is a big creek (actually 2 creeks) at the end just before you hit the chinnabee silent trail that would require quite a leap if one were wanting to avoid wet feet. Not so deep you couldn't safely walk through barefoot and then re-apply your boots on the other side though. We just walked through as we were already soaked. Lol. There are some really nice camping spots right there at the crossings, but the best spots are just past Devil's Pass IMHO.
Thanks for the report. I've been hoping to make it to one of the group hangs but with two kids now (8mo little boy) it's proving more difficult to get away than I anticipated.
