    New Blaze Orange Toxaway Tarp

I have been wanting an orange tarp for a while (blending in is nice but I like fun colors) and finally broke down and ordered a Blaze Orange Toxaway Tarp from Arrowhead Equipment. I added panel pulls to both sides and had the tarp seam sealed. The custom work added about a week to delivery time, which didn't seem bad to me, although the wait was killing me.
Last week my Toxaway arrived. The first thing I noticed was that the stuff sack wasn't the same color as the tarp. I was worked at first that AHE had made a mistake but with a closer look, I could see the blaze orange shining through grey stuff sack. The second thing I noticed was how small the tarp was in the stuff sack. It looked only a little bigger than my 11ft Wilderness Logics Tadpole!

Sadly, it took about a week for me to get it setup for a test. I've been waiting for some blaze orange guy line to arrive so I could properly rig up this beauty, but I think that shipment may be stuck/lost in USPS limbo. I couldn't take it any longer, and threw whatever spare guy lines I had on the tarp so I could take it for a test run.

    And the panel pulls

And here's some photos of my WBBB XLC under the Toxaway

Here's a comparison of the Toxaway in snakeskins next to the XLC

And of course my nice view from hammock and tarp

So far I am very pleased with my Toxaway. It is beautiful, spacious, light and well made. It is also a steal for the price and I would recommend one to anybody looking for a new tarp. The only drawback I can think of now is that once I put snake skins on the tarp, it was a very tight fit back into the stuff sack. Not the designer's fault, but I like a little extra room in my stuff sacks so my gear can mold to the empty space in my pack. No deal breaker for sure.

I can't wait to take it out for real and see how it does in the wild.

I agree sometimes it's nice to brighten up your gear. Looks good.

Awesome, you got the "its always sunny" version. Great tarp.

Images are great, tarp is great, wow, I feel a new tarp coming on. I guess the Oregon Grey has finally become just too much, first a white translucent tarp, now a bright Orange tarp, gish what is next? Oh, I did buy a bright orangis/red shirt. I must becoming senile.

    Great tarp!

Mine fits into skins, then into the main outside or mesh pocket, of my pack, like a coiled up snake.

That makes one more small sized stuff sack for me to fill with other stuff.

I should mention I love stuff sacks JRB is kind of my favorite atm. Neat little Sil compression sacks.

Wow, that looks great. I don't think I ever would have considered an orange tarp but after seeking this one. You're right it is a beaut! AHE added the pull outs on your initial order?

I put my tarp in my pack's outside pocket as well, but for some reason I still prefer having the skinned tarp in a stuff sack. Not 100% sure why.

I do love how my tarp looks through the partially see-through grey stuff sack though.

I've faced some grim days buoyed by the artificially sunny weather in my orange mt hardware kiva. It's surprisingly how mood lightening it can be.

Yes. You can add certain customizations to your tarp on the AHE website. One of those add-ons is a pair of panel pulls, $10 for a pair.
