Be careful with the box and pin. If too much pressure is put on them the pin will break.

There was a concern early on, a couple broke so Brandon changed the size from 3 to 5 or 5 to 3 forget which. Anyway. I have used my XLC everyday from Sept to April and for part of May. My daily use and stress testing with 300+ lbs has revealed no concerns to date. Thankfully.

He did tell me to send it in to see if it was the old style to be fixed but I had a house fire and did not have the time then. Now that I have the time it is camping time for the cubs so I am unable to at this time. Might just have to take it since it is my fault it is taking so long but that is on me.

Send it in when you get a chance, Brandon will take care of it.
Sorry to hear about the house fire.

Scavenging some hooks from a bra was posted as a diy work around.

Thanks RatDog for taking the time to snap a picture.
The second one showing the end/start shows me you can have the zipper pull by your shoulder for those nighttime tree watering
events. Hunting for the pull way at the top was going to be a no go for me.

I assume this is the same for the winter cover since it uses the same zipper track on the hammock?

I have been wanting to try a 1.7 SL but heard conflicting stories on the zipper.

Thanks everyone for the quick responses and discussion to my questions.

Cover and bugnet are the same wrt zipper.

The zipper is located between shoulder and head, easy to find at night.

Actually, for me at 5' 11", the zipper just above the top of my head which is nice because the pull (on which I have a small extender) is never in the way and is easy to find.
