    Nite Ize Reflective Cord

Anyone ever taken the core out of the Nite Ize reflective guy line and used it for guylines? I am going to try this for the Pullouts on my Superfly as well as the cord that goes to the ground on the Pullouts. may use if for the doors as well if it works. By removing the core, it cuts the weight in half. You still cant splice it, but it does hold knots much better than with the core. I still am going to use Zing-it and Lash-it for the ridgeline and corner tieouts, but do like the idea for the reflective cord for the lines that are out from the tarp.

    Any thoughts?

I haven't removed the core, but keep a few sections in my stake bag for side pullouts. But in 2 years, not once have I used the side pullouts on my tarp. Laziness.

I think this stretches a little so sounds like a good application for many things other than the guy lines and ridge like you said.
