It's a double sided stuffsack. EDIT No, it's not. See below answers. EDIT Very useful for rigging your hammock. The sack just stays on the suspension. When you pack up just unhook one side and walk over to the other stuffing the hammock in.

One of the great things about the Bishop Bag is that you can stuff the straps into each end of the sac and close it completely. Or you can leave one or both of the straps outside of the bag if they have tree sap on them. As jolunder stated, it makes packing up the hammock a breeze.

Not quite... a bishop bag is a one sided stuff sack with a little hole in the bottom for the hammock suspension to exit. I couldn't find the original thread but I found a pic of mark ii by blackbishop351 https://www.hammockforums.net/galler....php?i=507&c=4

Actually a bishop bag isn't a double ended stuff sack but is a stuff sack with a small hole at the other end.

Sorry folks, A Bishop Bag, or Black Bishop Bag is not, I repeat, not a double sided stuff sack. A double sided stuff sack has openings on both ends that can be cinched closed with drawstrings.

A Black Bishop Bag has the regular opening on one end that can be cinched closed and on the other end (bottom of bag) is a small opening, hole, button hole that just the suspension line comes out of. This allows the user to hang the bag to suspension via the suspension line coming out of the hole, then opening the bag and taking the other line, hammock and all, and hang the line to the other side. The Black Bishop Bag stays attached to the first suspension line.

To put hammock away, remove the suspension line (bag side), and stuff hammock and all into the bag while moving to other suspension line. Cinch the one side closed and your done. Just remember to get the straps if still attached to the trees.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
