    Hanging without a mosquito net

Do any of you hang in buggy weather without a mosquito net?

    Thanks,
    Rob

I tried it once. Retreated back to the house with lots of welts. Fun.

Mosquitoes have no interest in several members of my family. So if you're one of those people, rock on without the bugnet. I'm not one of those people, so I'll hang with a bugnet.

I think you will find grannypat to be the norm.

I used a net June - August last year in SC. I find that unless I am camped near a standing body of water, the mosquitoes have usually retreated for the night by the time I go to my hammock.

Mosquitos and spiders are not my friends.

I think that is as close to normal as I'm going to get.

Same here. Only use a bug net a few nights in the summer more often than not. Usually when its warm enough for the little buggers to still be active by the time I settle in I'm beginning to look for air conditioning anyway...

To answer your question.....I use a bug net in buggy weather to keep the bugs from bugging me while I sleep.
