continuous ridgeline with tarp fly, a refinement

This is the configuration I like best because I can cinch my tarp tight a lot more easily. I'm probably not the first person to think of this method but I didn't find it when I searched. I figured I'd post it in case it helped someone.

The ways to use Dutchgear are immeasurable. When I first got my tarp Flyz I remember disliking how hard it was to slide them along the ridgeline (before locking them). Then I read where Dutch himself put his tarp flyz on a soft shackle prusik, and I found that a lot easier. I now have tarp wasps and am wondering what other ways I could use them.

that is a nifty set up! Kind of acts like a trucker's Hitch, but with Tarp Fly in place of a loop....

I love Dutch Gear widgets. They are so simple, elegant and fun to play with.

Yeah, it seems to make it a lot easier to cinch it up tight. I tried a dragonfly and a stinger but found it harder to crank my tarp tight with them than this arrangement.

Are you using this configuration on both ends?

I've gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, make sure I stay here.

When I see lovers' names carved into a tree, I don't think it's cute. I think it's strange how so many people take knives on a date.

I use this on one end. On the other I have a Dutch clip hooked into the continuous ridgeline just inside of the tarp ridgeline ring.

Side note: I use an 18" piece of sm diameter aquarium tubing to protect the tree.

Nice set up. Dutch gear totally rocks. Just ordered the wasp since it should come in handy.
