Wilderness Logics must not sleep. My order went in on Friday and the tadpole was delivered on Tuesday morning. This tarp is half the weight and packed size of my previous model; I can't wait to use it during my next Uwharrie trip. Thanks.

Marty is awesome isn't he? I ordered my Tadpole and received it two days later as well. I'm anxious to use it myself. Went to a place last weekend and I couldn't find any trees suitable for hanging. I ended up stringing my hammock between two poles in a shed so I didn't need to use the tarp. May see you in the Uwharries sometime. Plenty of trees and spaces.
They have a pond, out back, where the Tad Poles grow! If you don't catch them they become Bull Frogs.
WLR!
I loved my tadpole so much I bought another one! Marty is good people.

Caveman,
I will end up with two. Once my son notices the weight of mine he won't be happy with his tarp.
I plan to seal the underside of the ridgeline seam with Permatex 81730 this weekend. Someone please sound off if you don't think it's a good plan.
I haven't found it to be needed. I've heard reports of dripping, but it seems that only happens with a CRL.

Mine has never been sealed and went thru 2 1/2 months of continuous exposure last summer in Maine. The Month of June was almost daily rains and not a drop!
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
So I am assuming that it o ly drips with a crl? Was wondering about this as that's why I got a superfly still is the ridgeline I like. Whats it like on a tadpole?
It's not the boulders that throw us off balance, it's the pebbles beneath our feet
I'm not saying that it only happens with CRL, but everytime I saw a post about a WL tarp that leaked, I pm'd the person and every single one of them (about 6 or 8) were using a CRL. I think a CRL is fine, you just have to be sure and put a couple of drip lines "under" the tarp. Marty uses some kind of a shingle fold?... I don't know what it's called, but it's designed so that it folds over itself and prevents leaking.
BUT.... you know the rule! If it makes you feel better, seal it! Whatever makes you happy. This is hammock hangin'.

My new Tadpole worked perfectly on this weekend's hike. The Land Trust for Central NC trip was a great first trial for the Tadpole. Thursday night at Yates Place and Friday night at Panther Creek were rain events. Hours of continuous rain and not one drop on anything below the tarp.
