    HH exped, now what ??

So I got a HH Exped,
I can not find a set up video ANY Where.
I went to the HH web site, the video labeled "set up video" has a girl messing around with a hammock and snake skins? but shows no detail of haw to set this thing up ????

is there a STEP BY STEP video anywhere ?

    Thanks,

Did you buy this new or get it used? The stuff sack has set up directions which... incidentally, are best taken with a grain of salt but they'll get you started.

Pick two supports about 15' apart. wrap the tree huggers around the supports and figure out how to do the hennessy lashing figure-eight thingie. (better yet switch the whole thing over to a ring buckle system and go from there.) Lash it off slightly over your head height.

Move to the other end. Do the same thing and pull it just enough so the ridgeline is taut. Not tight. There should be a droop in the suspension lines letting the hammock hang down around butt height.

Now sit carefully into the slit and lean back into the hammock.

At this point... having completed your first successful hang you can do things like make sure the hammock is centered in the space. Make sure the foot end is slightly higher than head. Read the full HH forum to absorb all the nuances and contradictory suggestions of how to tweak your hang to meet your own best comfort. Throw all that information to the wind and duke it out yourself. In a few hangs you yourself will be able to add to the mythic and epic length of suggestions as to how to get the most out of your HH Expedition. Most of all, have fun and enjoy the learning curve.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

    OK,
found a site with the Knot:
    http://theplacewithnoname.com/hiking...lter/hknot.htm

Hennesy needs to put a step-by-step (and I mean step-by-step) video up.

1st time off the ground, love it!

I am an old pro now !

Guess I should have checked out the "Docs and Directions" section before panicing.

There is actually a video of how to do the fig. 8 lashing, plus many text tips, at this page on the HH site. But it sounds like you already have things ready to go! But you are probably going to want to consider finding some tips for dealing with the stock fly, which will tend to be saggy when attached in the normal fashion.
