Valid point Frwag, there is no sense in building in unnecessary annoyances and limitations. As long as I am seeking help, I will start from scratch and explore any useful idea. I am not married to any particular design concept. What I want to do is create a dedicated suspension for a gathered end hammock with a 100”± structural RL.
My functional set-up goal is to be able to, determine height and slack requirements, place huggers, set suspension length, and attach; with minimal built in requirements for fussing about.
Suspension qualities in order of importance:
1. Support trustworthiness
2. Secure diversion of water migration
3. Minimum bulk
4. Easy segregation of contaminated components
5. Minimal demand for digital dexterity
6. Convenient adjustability
7. Ideally, an 11.5’ to +20’ hang span
8. If marlinspike & toggles are to be used, keep MS as close to the tree as possible.
