TX -> Hammock friendly places along the coast near Houston?

Does anyone know of any places along the gulf coast or Galveston Bay that are hammock friendly either for camping or just for a day hang? To take my mind of having to sit in an office at the moment I am trying to devise a way that I can indulge at somewhere like Gilhooley's for an afternoon on the weekend and then sleep it off in a hammock by the water but I've got nothing.

    Think creatively

Not easy if you don't like to hang under piers, between car roof racks, from the frames of picnic table roofs, or haul your own turtledog tripod stand with you.

Matagorda Bay Nature Park is very barren but allows you to park (on the beach) and camp on the ocean side where you could pile drive some poles down into the sand and hang from them. This requires technique and a good understanding of physics, not brute force. People have been doing it in 3rd world counties for centuries with no heavy machinery. Removal requires a lot of digging, wench? Good luck.
BTW ocean side is very windy, even the river side destroys a lot of tents and tarps especially in the Fall. But fishing can be good, and paddling with dolphins is fun.
