    Hello, everyone.
I am new to this site and new to hammocking. I'm looking forward to learning lots more about what is a great way to spend more time outdoors.
I tried sleeping in my hammock last night, but I'm afraid it wasn't very restful. My back and shoulders got pretty cold. I know a little about underquilts, but is there a more affordable option as I figure out if hammock camping is going to be a good fit for me?
How did you guys do it?

I used a closed cell foam pad underneath for two years, along with a 0* synthetic sleeping bag. I took that down to 22 degrees. With that said, underquilts are light years ahead in comfort and warmth without having any of the condensation issues.

I'll give that a shot. I have seen a lot of talk about underquilts. Ultimately, that looks like that may be the way to go. In the meantime, though, I'll try the CCF pad and see how I get along.
    Thanks for the response.
