Seam sealing is a waterproofing method mainly used for tarps and such. There's really no need to do so on a hammock IMHO.
“Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it." -Terry Pratchett
“I think that when the lies are all told and forgot the truth will be there yet. It dont move about from place to place and it dont change from time to time. You cant corrupt it any more than you can salt salt.” - Cormac McCarthy
Thanks guys
I've been applying polyurethane seam sealant to various seams on my footwear for a few years because (as time has shown) it certainly does improve their durability/longevity. I don't see much reason to do that to the seams on a hammock though.
But, if it lasts longer I won't have as good of an excuse to replace it with whatever is new and still around the corner.
Trust nobody!
