Tried outdoor camp.. Unprepared for weather

This was just fun. Even the storm night.. Just said "don't stress, enjoy the outdoors". This is nothing really. A couple years back the three of us went rough camping in northern Alberta Somehow the tent poles got left home for the tent. Rain was the forecast.... I think I have a picture of the tent we hoisted with many ropes. All I can say is dome tents are designed with poles in mind. We stayed dry though... Adventures indeed!

I still wonder something like this never happened to me, I always seem to forget something when I go on a trip.
Luckily it most never is something major.
