My wife spent the weekend in her hammock, first trip on her own and she was the only one in the group of 12 with a hammock, the guys in the group on the canoe trip were jealous! Only problem is, she got cold. She was using a pad and it just doesn't quite cut it. So we have been holding off on getting an under quilt until she had a chance to really see how effective the pad was. She was cold but her feet never got cold. So I think something from the knees to the shoulders should suffice. So I'm looking for something at least 20° rated under quilt, and I would like it to be as compressible as possible as we both try to go light. I don't have a whole lot of dough to spend, I can trade lots of computer stuff as I run an IT biz.
