Just completed a five day journey down the Greenbrier river with old college friends. There are 12 in our group, 8 of us completed the trip this year. This year was our 37th annual trip. We have begun burning the rivers into a small canoe paddle each year so we can keep track!! What a treat we had when we arrived at Greenbrier campground to find West Virginia (WV) reading a book with some trail or in this case river magic of chocolate chip cookies. They were thoroughly enjoyed around the fire after some of us had completed a 600+ mile drive.

To top it off, lo and behold WV shows up at our take-out and escorts us out of the hills and hollers so we can find our way out to return home. I do so appreciate this forum, and David, I do so appreciate our friendship and your graciousness and generosity. We had beautiful weather, the water was a little low, but we had some legitimate long class II runs and the incredible beauty of those mountains to enjoy. What a wonderful time. Thanks so much WV. It was like having home away from home. Pics forthcoming.
