    Bugnet creation

Okay, finally got to it. The bugs this past weekend helped I initially made a fronkey style with the sheer curtains but it turned out a bit heavy and wonkey.

Decided to buy some noseeum mesh and get to it. Standard tough stuff 65" wide. My hammocks are 11 footers so I wanted a 10' bugnet to cover them with the sag. Cut the lower corners at an angle.

Things I wanted: to be able to slide the whole net off without taking it off
I didnt want to have to use zippers.
    Here are some pics

Got the mesh all lined and went with Velcro.

I still have to put the shock cord around the bottom. Velcro on the one side allows it to slide over the hammock and be secured. It can be used with or without a ridge line.

I sewed some webbing in the corners for that purpose. So far very light and crams small into the sack.

Looking good, liking the design features. Am going to do something similar so I can slide it on as well.

Sorry to hear the bugs are so bad inside that you had to take such drastic measures.

    Bugnet creation

Okay all done. Made a channel for the shock cord out of the same ripstop nylon as my hammock (fabric n color). Reinforced the end with some webbing and presto! All done. Very happy now!

Very impressive. I'm just to the gathering supplies stage. Great inspiration!
