    ultra-lightweight summer uq/tq

Looking for opinions about quilts for summer using .75 (3/4") of 900 fill. I have done the math using the formula on this thread
    https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...t-instructions
Only looking for 60*, perhaps 50* with supplemental clothing.
I think my sewing skills are pretty good so im thinking a 2" sewn through spacing with a 3" bubble. Not sure a bubble is quite accurate, but when drawn on paper each baffle looks like half a bubble.
I haven't used down other then some recycled down from goodwill coats, so I'm not sure what kind of performance to expect..
    Will .75 be enough fo 60* ?.
Using argon .67 from dutch and down from thru-hiker gets me a weight around 6oz for a 48x60 uq.
    Thanks.

I think .75 should be good enough for 60 degrees. 6 ounces is a great weight.

I thought so. But sometimes numbers on an internet chart don't always match real life. Thanks!

I re- did the math and came out with 8.47 oz. Still not bad. That includes Argon 67, 850 fill down, shock cord and cordlocks.
( the 850 from wilderness logistics is cheaper.) Finished size of 48x60.
I have the argon (thanks dutch!) And I'm sewing it today. Waiting on down, and I'll post when its finished. With pics if I can figure out how

    Good luck on your project.

I love my Argon TQ--80" long with 10 oz of the Wilderness Logics 850 down. It weighs in at one pound.

As far as your baffle spacing, 2" spacing sounds pretty tight to me. I would worry about the down clumping within the baffle and not moving well. I think you could increase the side to 4", even with so little down in the baffles (my TQ has about 1.75" of loft).
