The Rosette UQ- a mini-review

OK, first off let's hope Mark's daughter decides to crank these out.
Weight 9oz on my digital.
Dimensions 42x33 inches.
Color: light grey
Suspension: bungie just like you'd find on a JRB type UQ (that means the bungies are at the end BUT can be run through side channels like a WB Yeti.
Long bungies for attaching to the gathered ends of the hammock and another bungie to cinch up the ends a bit to close the air gap.
Temp tested: 58-62F

Maybe I'm one of the few lucky ones to grab one of these. My partner on this weeks trip used it in warm comfort. I cold tested it by getting in the hammock naked to feel for cold spots...none found.

Pros: cost and weight
Cons: none considering what I paid

Why am I writing this; well it's like when Brian started making McCats...you've just to love it when kids start a business and put out a great product.

As mentioned in my trip report, you could easily extend the range of this lightweight UQ with a 1/4 inch CCF.

Get one if you can!

Thanks for the review. This is a summer project for her at this point. I saw a green one in the works on her sewing table so she may have a couple more soon.

Right now this is a summer project for her. I hear the sewing machine so I expect to see some more before returning to school

I am the "Other" lucky person to get one. I am waiting on it, should be here tomorrow. I will be able to add more info to this post once I get it under the hammock this weekend to give a full Trip Report. Gotta say so far the help in purchasing it and the way that Hangnout has helped is great, can't say enough for the quick responses to e-mail. Currently have a JRB Hudson River and a Shenandoah Summer Quilt.


Reason for purchase: Cut down on bulk during warm Summer hikes. The days in Utah can be very hot but each night it can drop very low when at altitude. Looking to see if I can use this for my UQ and the Shenandoah as my TQ. I am not a very warm sleeper but the Hudson is just too warm and I really have no other option for a TQ that will grant me the space needed in my summer pack. I am a Gram Weeny and the 8-9 o.z. is a huge pro for sure.

OK Finally just arrived at work was disappointed not being able to use it this weekend but, I now have an excuse to sleep in the back yard tonight. Will give a small review, and then a better one after this weekend's trip.
