    Why is hanging so addictive?

Introducing myself as a seriously addicted hanger from Ga. Have been backpacking in the Shining Rock Wilderness for years with tents (and heavier hammocks) but have only recently fallen seriously in love with every light hammock I ever met. My question is will this condition last or is therapy necessary? Am I doomed to a life of hanging in my favorite spots, listening to the wind in the trees, and enjoying life in the great outdoors?

Sleep full time in a hammock is the only answer.

No sense in trying to fight something that is so enjoyable.

Might as well give in. No matter what you do, you can't shake this addiction.

Once I collect more than two dozen hammocks, will the madness end? Actually, it is my wife that wants to know the answer to that question. To me, it all makes perfect sense. Just one more hammock....just one more.

DH, I would like to tell you it ends at two dozen hammocks. I made a post a few weeks back commenting on how I have so many hammocks that I don't even use. In fact, it isn't the newest one I use. I keep going back to one of first. I have found what works for me yet I still end up collecting more whose existence is relegated to a bin of hammocks in my gear room. I Was going to get a hammock forums patch, but wasn't sure which arm to affix it to and doubted it would curb the the cravings anyway. Maybe you will have more self control than I.
