    Help Cuben Fiber ridgeline

Just picked up a Hammock Gear cuben fiber tarp from the sale section here. I have it set up right now with a single line on either end with Dutchware Wasp's. I am concerned about how tight I can make the tension on those lines being unfamiliar with cuben fiber? Would it be easier on the tarp to run a continuous ridgline? Or am I OK with what I have? Just don't want to rip the rings off in the wind. Thanks for any help.

You should be good either way. You don't want to crank down on it until you can play banjo music on it but it shoule be easy to get a tight pitch without going to that extreme.

Congrats on the CF purchase. I have yet to regret mine.

Either rigging is good. I use a continuous ridge. I've had my HG tarp for over a year now and it has weathered a few good storms with high winds. Very tough fabric.

OK Thanx. The wasp's work great and save on some weight. Apeman, What length and material guy lines are you running? Also what setup do you use for the pull outs and porch mode?

You can pull cuben fairly tight. It pokes easily but is tough to pull a tear.

Cuban Fiber was designed for sailboat sails. My guess is that the tensile strength is daily high. Glad you ask, I have a HG Cuban also. Weathered some pretty strong winds two nights ago. No issues other than noisy.
