    LOL...I saw that, too. My experience in Scotland's highlands is that convenient rock outcrops of the desired height and configuration can be rare too. More typical (especially up high) is wind...BIG wind...and rain for variety. The wind makes hammock-size tarps and many tarptent style lightweight tents pretty chancy if not impossible/impractical. "Walking" in the highlands is the schnizzle!

    My avatar photo was taken with a 40 mph snow/sleet squall pelting me from the rear...at the stone cairn atop a hill just southwest of Aviemore in the Highlands.
