    Hello from Los Angeles, CA

Hi all. After much lurking and many hours of Youtube research...I've decided to give Hammocking a try. I ordered myself a Grand Trunk Skeeter Beeter Pro to take with me on a missions trip to Baja in July. I didn't want to invest alot of $$, and figure this would be a good way to see if it works for me.
Any tips for my first time out?

    Thanks

Welcome to the forum from Clovis.

My first tip would be to consider taking a second (or third?) job. Well, actually that should be my 2nd tip, my first tip if you have not already done so is to pop up some of your favorite popcorn and sit down for a Shug video marathon.

Welcome to the forums. My tip would be practice set up and use before taking the hammock into the field.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

I would agree with watching he Shug's hammocks for noobs videos. Set it up multiple times in different settings to get an idea of how you like to hang and what works/doesn't work.

Thanks you all. UPS should bring my SBP today, and I will try setting it up this weekend. I'll have to get some popcorn for the Shug video marathon to follow.
    Thanks again guys
