VIDEO: Northville-Placid Trai - Part 3 Hidden Cove to Cold River 3 Lean-to

Heading out on day 3, leaving Hidden Cove, making our way to Cold River #3 lean-to. Couldn't ask for a nicer day to spend on the trail, warm and sunny. While the toll of the first 2 days was evident, our day ended as one for the record books! Join along our fun. Thanks for watching!

They keep getting better! Still can't get over how high the water was at Long Lake. Was cool to see you guys. Man that PBR tasted good. Looking forward to the next installment.

I did notice the trail below the beaver dam was plenty flooded!

I was referring to the water level at the sites along LL, like at Hidden Cove, Plumleys etc... The water is usually quite a bit farther out from the trees.

    Nice...enjoying these!

Edit: what wood stove are you guys are using?
Also, how did the tadpole fair on your trip?
Stormed pretty good locally and wondered if you had it up during any of it.

Thank you! It is much fun for us to re-live our trip via video. We are glad you are liking as well. Love my Tadpole. I find it versatile and light weight. Throw on a door and it is 100% perfect in my eyes.

Yes, part 2 we talk briefly about it. Bottle cap sized hail, high winds and heavy rain for about 15 minutes. Hail hurts on the back of your ears!!!

Beer trail magic is the best! In October I was sectioning the AT north out of Damascus. The 3rd day in as we passed a shelter on the way to a campsite there were 2 beers in a basket in the shelter. Took them with us and cooled them off in the creek in front of the campsite. Man those were good beers.
