Yep, the bug got the name before the fabric did.

I used to use toggles but now all my hammocks are equipped with Dutch Whoopie Hooks. Here in the Northeast, where everything was clear cut years ago, I can use 4 ft. straps with a loop on each end. Feed one end of the strap through the other - done. No toggle required.

+1 on the Dutch CRL. Super light, super easy. I went from figure 9s to this and will never go back to anything else.
I've used Dutch Ware for over a year now and it has never given me any problems nor has it showed any signs of stress or strain. It has made my set ups a breeze. Dutch Ware is a superb product and he provides quick service.......and I'm not getting paid to write this....
Read a few key comments on sticky Whoopie Sling thread and watch the best videos on it. Making Locked Brummel Loops etc is actually very easy. Keep a small plastic or 3" metal needle in ur emergency kit you will have the self confidence to splice/repair it if a squirrel chews it or whatever while camping. Order hooks and cord from Dutch.

Not wantin to take this thread too far off topic, but, I have one piece suspensions. My hammock attaches to my whoopie slings with a dutch hook (on the adjustable loop). The locked brummel loop is sewn into one loop of my tree strap. The other end of the strap has a biner (a la Dutch clip) to help me whip it around the tree, and keep me from having to feed the whole line through the loop. I generally do use a toggle, so I have one on a small leash of zing-it that is larks headed onto the fixed eye of the whoopie as well. Everything for my suspension is all in one piece, and separate from the hammock, in case it gets wet.
The only Dutchware I have now are the whoopie hooks (for now ). My CRL for the tarp is glow wire, with a bowline hitch tied in one end, paired with a 3" toggle on a zing-it prussic. At the other end, a small figure 9. Tarp is attached with zing-it prussic soft shackles. I like the visibility of the glow wire at night, and the sheath really lets the prussiks grab very well. Not saying I wouldn't like to have a dyneema one with a Dutch hook at one end and a wasp at the other (cuz I totally would) but then I'd have the dilemma of deciding if I want to trade my reflective CRL for one with super nice bling.
