    New design prototype

Just tinkering with some new design ideas. Here's a sneek peek.

Special thanks to my hammock model "BearPlow", who's got the toughest job of the whole family.

I really like the peak shelf. Is it hooked in like the peak bags? If so, I'll have to order one. Also really like the new attachments for the netting (and overcover?). Wish that had been an option for me. Now I'm just gonna have to buy another.

Nice looking hammock, Randy. The peak shelf looks like a winner. It attaches at four points - two edges, the very end, and the ridgeline, right? Could it be retrofitted to already owned Dream Hammocks? This meets a real need for a convenient place to put things while in the hammock.

Yes! That zipper pull can be WAY up there to reach. I do wish I had gone with the "window" mod for my T-Bird though. Nice use of space for the new shelf.

    Thanks.
This particular one is sewn along both sides and the front portion has a shock cord channel with mitten hook in the center. It can probably be built as an add-on to an existing hammock, but I haven't worked out the particulars yet. The last photo of the Peak Shelf shows it filled with a water bottle and my UGQ top quilt loosely stuffed so there's lots of room in it.

The peak shelf is brilliant. Please do work making it into an add on, my Darien UL could really use one.

Dang it, I've been planning on ordering a Roaming Gnome very soon, but this looks cooler! How does the weight compare? And idea on pricing or release date?

I really like the design and features. Classic woodland camo looks less "cluttered" or "busy" than the newer digital designs. Glad I haven't ordered......yet! I'll be watching for this model to hit the site.
