If you are using synthetics then you should be ok, but if you want down you need to get some downproof fabric. This stuff is "pure finish" so hasn't been calendered for downproofing (although it is worth noting that not all calendered fabric is downproof).

Thanks but what does that mean.
Will the down come through the material??
I dont see how as down is just fluff, no real spine on it to push through.

As fluffy as down is, it will poke it's way through just about anything. If you want to make a very expensive mistake(and labor intensive), just make a down underquilt out of non-downproof material. Search the forum, you'll find several threads about this very subject.

Calendering is a process whereby the material is drawn between heated rollers, to seal the fabric, so to speak. I think there's some chemicals that can be used but why waste time and money. Just buy some downproof fabric.

I have that fabric in a different camo pattern and would not use it for down. Synthetic insulation would be fine. Also it is heavy compared to most down proof ripstop nylon fabrics.

I used mine to make stuff sacks and s DIY DL hammcok

Why is it you only find out this info after you have bought the gear???

Is there anyone who sells Multicam or the digital version in downproof materials?

    Would Poplin work??
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MULTICAM-N...item338ef37174

    Or maybe this Zeta?
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MULTICAM-Z...item338fe6a5b7

    Or this Ripstop?
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MULTICAM-C...item4ad67391e3

Someone please help me find something that would work.
    Thanks
