    Upside Down Hanger???

    This is real embarrassing, but I'd like to see if anyone else has ever experienced this:

    A) My first "Real" night in my Hennessy side zip after a long hike in;
    B) I really prefer stomach sleeping at home in my own bed and was concerned that I might have issues going to sleep;
    C) Didn't have any issue falling asleep;
    D) Woke up in the middle of the night for a nature call and couldn't find the zipper in the dark so I turned on my headlamp;
    E) Turns out I'm laying in the bug-net and the hammock fabric is above me- somehow I inverted the hammock tossing and turning I Guess????

    Well as you might guess the bug-net is a little more loose and puffy now.

    The weird thing is that the under quilt was hanging under the hammock and the top quilt was still on top of me!

    I have a buddy who tells me that if anything is possible in this world it will happen to me......

    This has happened to me in a HH Exp. Although I was only partially on the net. This was one of my first times in the hammock as well. Not sure why this happens except for the flipping and flopping I use to do when I first started. It will get better!! Keep at it!

    I'll bet that even upside down, it was still more comfortable than the ground.
    Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

    I don't know how you managed that.... That has got to be a lot of serious tossing & turning. Wow. I mean, just wow.

    I gotta think you're liking the hennessy after that, cause any non integrated bug net I would think would not end up as well as simply struggling to find the zipper!!

    I'm fairly new to the hammock thing as well, and (at least so far...), prefer integrated bug nets, but never would have thought THAT was a possibility!! I dunno if I could pull that off if i was trying to!?!

    First night my 10 year old slept in his Dream Hammock, he woke up looking at the ground through the bug netting. Little sucker tosses non stop when he sleeps.

    LOL! You should make a hammock out of bug netting.

    Thanks to all who have commented so far.

    I'm glad to know that I'm not some freak (well maybe just a little) and that I'm not the only person in the universe who's experienced this.

    I do remember tossing and turning somewhat because as I said, I sleep stomach down at home. I think the bug-net supporting me (195 lbs) and not ripping out is a testament to a little good luck and to a good sewing job from the makers of my Hennessy.

    Too weird.
