    Thunderbird Dream hammock Advice.

I need your advice. I am 5’10 220 pounds nature lover. I am looking to buy a Thunderbird Dream Hammock with these specs:

    -11 Feet length
    -66 inches width
-1.0 ACU Camo ripstop fabric double layer and overcover. Weight capacity 275 pounds.

The goal is to get the feel of an ENO Doublenest Hammock to lounge in and at the same time have all of the protective elements needed for survival.

The feedback I am getting from like minds is that 1.0 and 1.1 fabric is stretchy and less durable. But the these fabrics are my only option if I want a 66 inch width.

My BB Warbonnet is 63 inches wide and I love it however it’s not that loungie to sit up. Please advise. Thank you.

Dream Hammocks are 100 times more comfortable than Eno's. The quality and workmanship of the Dream Hammocks are amazing.

Rumor has it that you may contact the vendor directly and request a "special deal".
PapaSmurf has been known to procure fabrics from far and wide to satisfy customer's needs, wants and desires.
Perhaps there is some other fabric besides 1.0 ACU out there running wider than 60" but still a suitable ripstop for hammock construction.

I have spent countless hours on Dream Hammocks site trying to choose a fabric so I can order a Roaming Gnome and I've had the same questions. I like the width and feel of my Eno Dn and wish I could figure out which DH to get to be comparable. Looking forward to getting one but don't want to make the wrong choice.

    That's a valid concern.

While it may not help in the short term, another nice thing about a quality hammock is that if if you end up not loving the Dream Hammock, you will be able to re-sell it for close to what you paid for it....then try again. This is actually quite common for us seeking an even better lay.

Yep, the obvious (or maybe not) answer is to contact DH and discuss your needs. PapaSmurf will know his products better than any of us.

    ^^ This ^^

When I was shopping for my DH I had a bunch of questions. Papasmurf was quick to respond to emails, happy to discuss the ins and outs of his product, let me know of some new fabrics he had lined up that might fit my needs better, and even sent fabric swatches so I could check out the feel before I committed.

I suggest shooting him an email, letting him know exactly what you're looking for and why, and I can pretty much guarantee that he'll be happy to help you find the best fit from what he has to offer. I even get the impression that if he really doesn't have anything that will work for you, he'll tell you that honestly as well.

Yeah, PapaSmurf is pretty fast with email responses. He was really flexible with fabric requests when I placed my order.

Last I heard, there was a Argon 1.6 Thunderbird on the way...

For what it's worth, I have a DN and just got a 1.9 camo Thunderbird 65" wide. I have not slept a night in it yet but have lounged and it is far superior to the DN. That will now be a loner.
