    Joinging the club

Just got my 7th hammock yesterday, joining the swelling ranks of blackbird owners! 1.7 double. And I have a question for you all - on the shock cord for the tie outs, is the set up supposed to be that you use the toggle on the hammock side of the tie out where the little metal ring is? Then the tied loop end of the shock cord for the stake?

Going on a float trip this Thursday and I look forward to using the blackbird.
(Also I'm now going to have to brush up on the fingerpicking in "Blackbird" song - that would be a cool audio for the website huh?)

Yep! You got it right. The cordlock just lets you set the tension in the line. Quite helpful if something heavy is going in the shelf. I had to tie a knot in Genuine Draft's this weekend. I don't know what she had in the shelf (and I'm not asking), but it was too heavy for the cordlock.
    Trust nobody!
