    New Guy from Birmingham

My son wanted an ENO since all the boys in his troop had them. I had gone on some trips with the troop and always tent camped. I'm 6-2, 220 and thought I would rip right through one of those flimsy looking things. I finally tried my son's one day and could not believe what I had been missing. I now own a BBXLC and SuperFly while my son owns his ENO and an Old Man Winter bought off this forum. We've just ordered two New Rivers for Paul at Arrowhead as well. I have a feeling my SD tent will be gathering a lot of dust. Glad I found this forum for the great info and tips.

Late last fall I got a screaming deal on a 3 man Big Agnes tent that I'd been wanting for a while.. REI had it listed as Deal of the Day and I got it for almost 2/3rds off regular price.. Then I discovered hammocks..
The Big Agnes has yet to be taken out of the bag.. I guess I could seam seal it and sell all the other tents I have?? There's a couple bike rallies that I go to that just don't have hanging locations, so I should keep at least one tent for that..

    Welcome to the forum neighbor!

My son and I just returned from Scout camp, where I slept every night in my WBBB. I couldn't imagine sleeping any other way!

My son heads to Blairsville BSA camp on July 7th. He did Sequoia last summer. I wish I had been more involved in Scouts as a boy.

Welcome, neighbor. I grew up in B'ham, and worked there for about 25 years. Now I'm hangin' in Gadsden.
