Video: Argon Tarp rain test-follow up test

Some time back, I setup my DIY Argon tarp for a test in a short rain storm...seen here.

Well, this afternoon I had a chance to do a follow up test after adding side panel pull-outs and poles to support them. I think the test went well, and I am happy I added the pull outs. The pole setup works nice also. Looking forward to some real world use, but my backyard test gave me some confidence indeed. Thanks for taking a look. Hope this is helpful to others.

Yes that's a great idea for the poles! I think I'm going to have to make some just like it

Poles worked out well. They only weigh 2.6 ounces for the pair. They are not as compact as some of the others on the market...but the price was right. :-)

Great test! When dutch gets some sil-argon back in stock your project has given me the courage to make my own tarp! right now i either have a fragile polycro tarp that is juuuust big enough to protect in the rain, or a honkin blue wally world tarp that packs down to the size of a small vehicle and weights twice as much.

Dutch I was curious do you have any updates on when you expect sil-argon to be back in stock? Also i was wondering if it was possible to get a hold of some with ACU pattern? i know you've said that you couldnt do multicam because it cant be licensed so i was curious about other military camo's.
