Does anyone ever post tents on HF? or is that sacrilege?
I am looking for a 2 person tent (very light, like 2 lbs) so that I can start overnighting with just myself and 7yo son overnight.
He is not ready for a hammock yet.
Where is another good place to search? (besides ebay and craigslist)

Tents pop up occasionally but not often. You can also check backpackinglight.com

There have been about half a dozen in the past month, and I am pretty sure there are still some unsold. You should browse through, you will probably find what you want.
I have a couple I may be persuaded to part with. One is a Mountain Hardware 2 person, 3 season.
The other is a Kelty IIRC 3 person, 3 season. Both have only been used a few times. I think I have footprints for both as well.
I am looking to keep the load pretty light since I will be carrying most of the gear for both of us, so I think that the three person would be too much weight.Originally Posted by opie

Note that the specs are for the HH tent only, the gear shed weighs about 2 lbs. I purchased with a 20% off coupon for around $290 (incl tax). I'd sell for $275 shipped. Like I said, this is brand new, put it together once at home just to inspect.
