    13' Ridgeline

Any of the cottage vendors sell tarps with 13' ridgelines? I have a 12' hammock and find that I need a little more ridgeline to cover the continuous loops and biner at the ends, especially when I use my Handy Hammock, which requires a really long hammock ridgeline so my backside stays airborn.

A Kelty 9 should have a 12.7 ridgeline if my calculations are correct.

You are right. I think I'm looking for at least a hex, or, even better, a winter cut (think doors), for better coverage at the ends.

Contact a cottage vendor directly, no doubt one can be made up for you.
As far as off the shelf, haven't noticed any. Many 12' options.

Call Marty at Wildernesslogics or drop Brandon an email at Warbonnet. Or any of the other vendors that sell tarps, I'm sure they'd be happy to help.

Both of my tarps are 13 X 10. Any of the cottage venders will make one for you but it's not a standard size. I really like the extra coverage they provide and don't mind a little extra weight. Squidbilly, here on the forums, makes some mighty fine tarps. Here is the summer tarp he made for me.

My winter tarp was made by Ox Gear, Orion X here on the forums. Another great quality gear maker.

I asked Stormcrow to make a 13' version of his HammockGear Winter Palace for me. In dark camo of course. Guessin any of the HF tarp makers may help you with the same-just ask 'em!
This 13' Ridgeline fits my Warbonnet Ridgerunner wonderfully!
It has become my goto tarp no matter which hammock I'm using.

Yeah, I kinda thought I remembered reading that one of them sold a stock 13' tarp, so I was gonna check here first before special-ordering. But I can't find a 13 footer on any of the sites I've checked, so I guess I'll reach out now.

    Thanks for the input, everyone.

Just a thought, but if you get a 12' with doors you may be good. I'd say you'd stay drier than a 13' without... I don't have either so can't say for sure. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Not trying to discourage you. I have some custom gear but with custom gear you also get "custom" bills..

    Happy Hanging!

Wilderness Logics will make you one.
He has a 156" option on the Old Man Winter and I'm sure he'd make a Bullfrog with a 156" ridge line as well.
They are on vacation until 07/07.
