Long time lurker, long time hanger first post.

Well I have been lurking and reading long enough I suppose. I started hanging back when I got issued a HH exposition for my deployment to some places in Africa. Used it over there and I loved it.

When I got back to the states I decided I was a hanger and my son soon followed in his own HH Scout.

We have been hanging since at scouting events and hunting trips.

I have made a UQ out of a sleeping bag and in turn made a TQ out of the lighter bag.

As soon as I get the money for it I will be sending my sons and my HH to 2Q for the zipper mods. Living on retirement and disability payments once a month is tricky, lol.

I have been looking for new tarps and the different ways to hang them. I have been looking at the ultimate survival technologies due to their price. Try are small but I can throw some thread and put a couple of them together.

What other mods or additions do you all think I should add to our hangs to make them a bit more comfortable?

There was a discussion on that tarp a while back.

Yes sir. That's where I got the idea from, lol. I also have a couple accounts with some distributors that Cary the triangle version. I am almost thinking their hex tarp would accept a triangle or pieces of it very nicely. We shall see though.

Will do. I am going to be putting in an order pretty soon for the business and I will add those diamond tarps onto it. If I can find a good price for the UST hex I will get that as well. If not I am figuring 3 of the diamond tarps sewn together would be a nice tarp. I am using my grandmothers handle down Singer from 1951. It still is running like a champ.

Thank you good sir. I all ready made my own under quilt from the new style again issue sleeping bag and made my TQ with the green(lighter) bag. Worked out just fine at my last hang with my son and cub scouts.
